Itinerary

The journey from the Diablo public ramp to the Pearl Islands offers an unforgettable experience that lasts approximately 8 hours. Our trip starts early, with scheduled departures between 7:00 and 8:00 am, to make sure we make the most of the day and meet our clients’ wishes. During the tour, you will be able to take in the panoramic views and immerse yourself in the thrill of anticipation as we head towards the archipelago.

The estimated time of arrival at Contadora Island ranges from 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes, depending on the weather conditions at the time, giving you enough time to enjoy the seascape and get excited by the prospect of what is to come. As we get closer to our destination, you will get a glimpse of the beautiful islands that make up the Pearl Archipelago, surrounded by crystal clear waters and lush tropical vegetation. The serene atmosphere and natural beauty will welcome you as we enter this tropical paradise.

Once the boat arrives at the Pearl Archipelago, an exciting 2-hour tour will begin in the crystal clear waters of the archipelago in search of whale watching. With the help of our expert guides, you will have the opportunity to observe the majestic humpback whales up close during their migration season. These marine giants gather in these waters to feed and reproduce, giving you an impressive spectacle as they jump and play in their natural environment.

Return

The boat begins its return to Panama at 2:00 pm and should be back at the dock at approximately 4:00 pm. After a well-deserved rest and making the most of your time on the beach, we invite you to return to the boat to start the journey back to the starting point. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the last views of the archipelago and remember the magical moments that you have lived during the day.

Observations:

  • Don’t forget to bring your original passport or Panamanian ID.
  • A 100% view of the whales cannot be guaranteed, but there are many possibilities, especially to spot their backs. In case of not being able to observe the whales, you can still enjoy a day at the beach, delighting in the crystalline waters of the Las Perlas archipelago on the Island.
  • The boat should not approach less than 100m from dolphins or less than 250m from whales.
  • The sighting may not exceed 30 minutes with the same group of cetaceans.
  • Swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving, or any activity that involves interacting with cetaceans in their habitat is prohibited.
  • Circular movements around an organism or group of organisms are prohibited.
